Samira Morin

Samira Morin is the Development Manager at Vocal Youth Miami, where she supports fundraising, donor relationships, and community partnerships that expand access to positive, youth-centered opportunities across Miami-Dade County.

Samira’s work is grounded in a deep belief in positive youth development and the importance of creating spaces where young people can build confidence, discover their strengths, and develop essential life skills. Before entering nonprofit development, she spent many years working directly with youth as a swim and tennis coach, mentoring young people through teamwork, discipline, goal-setting, and personal growth during critical stages of development.

She recently served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Panama, where her work focused on youth leadership development and community-based education. In partnership with students and community members, she co-founded a youth-led environmental leadership initiative centered on recycling, sustainability, and civic engagement. Through this work, Samira supported young people in building leadership skills, taking ownership of local challenges, and seeing themselves as capable changemakers within their communities.

Alongside her fieldwork, Samira brings experience in nonprofit development and global consulting, supporting strategy, evaluation, and organizational systems for mission-driven organizations. She holds a B.A. in International Development Studies from UCLA, graduating cum laude.

Samira is passionate about ensuring young people have access to safe, supportive environments where they can grow in confidence, explore their potential, and build the skills they need to thrive — and is proud to support Vocal Youth Miami’s work in creating those opportunities.
