Tenor-Bass Workshop
The Tenor-Bass Workshop is a one-day event bringing together middle and high school tenor and bass singers from Miami-Dade and Broward counties. Students will engage in music-making, camaraderie, and mentorship opportunities while celebrating the unique role of tenor-bass voices in choral singing. The workshop will feature interactive activities, a panel of male singers, and a combined choir experience.
Location: OCPC Church (Sanctuary & Choir Room)
Schedule:
8:00-8:30 Check in
8:30- 9:00: Combined Warm-Ups (Main Sanctuary)
9:00- 10:15: Ensemble Rehearsals
10:20-10:50: Combined Rehearsal
10:55-11:55: Ensemble Rehearsals
12:00-12:45: Lunch/ Panel Discussion (singing for life)
12:55- 1:15: Combined Rehearsal/ Show off
1:20- 1:45: Informal Concert
1:50: Dismissal
Activities include:
- “Big/Little” camaraderie event to build connections across grade levels
- Volunteer-led game with prizes
- T-shirt transfer activity where each school is represented
- Male Singer Panel: high school, college, and adult singers sharing their journeys and encouraging younger students to stay involved in chorus
Holiday Evening at Vizcaya Museum & Gardens

Celebrate the season with Vocal Youth Miami!
Join us for an enchanting evening as Vocal Youth Miami ensembles from Palmetto Bay and our Sweetwater hubs present their Winter Concert! Experience the magic of holiday favorites and songs from various traditions, brought to life by the incredible voices of our talented students. Accompanied by a professional band and featuring standout soloists, this unforgettable performance takes place amidst stunning holiday decor, setting the perfect scene for a festive afternoon of music and joy.
Proceeds from this event directly contribute to our programs, empowering us to create transformative experiences for our students.
At the Vocal Youth Miami, we believe in inclusivity. Vocal Youth Leadership Workshop
What Makes a Leader? Why be a Leader? How to become a Leader?
The Vocal Youth Leadership Workshop is an interactive experience designed to explore leadership through music, collaboration, and creativity. Students will engage in fun activities to reflect on what makes a leader and work to define leadership. The experience will include a panel of inspiring leaders in the community who will share their perspectives on why leadership matters. Participants will create personal action plans for how to lead in their schools, including concrete steps to empower others. The day will feature musical moments, interactive discussions, and plenty of opportunities for students to grow, connect, and discover their own leadership potential.

Uniting Voices, Igniting Dreams: Annual Benefit Concert
Join us for an unforgettable evening of music, storytelling, and community at Uniting Voices, Igniting Dreams! This special concert brings together all of our choral students from across five sites to celebrate unity through music, featuring powerful performances, original student-composed songs, and inspiring stories.
The evening kicks off with a Happy Hour at 6:00 PM, where guests can enjoy beer, wine, and hors d’oeuvres at the Thomas D. Hormel Music Innovation Stage before the concert begins at 7:30 PM in the stunning Maurice Gusman Concert Hall.
Proceeds from this event directly support our programs, helping us provide life-changing music education to students across Miami-Dade County.
