Ariana Castillo
Biography
Ariana Castillo is a nonprofit administrator and theatre professional from Homestead, Florida. She began her journey in theatre at the University of Miami, where she earned her BFA in Stage Management. Ariana first entered the nonprofit world as the Community Programs Coordinator for City Theatre, where she developed and produced free and low-cost community events across South Florida. She later joined YoungArts as the Coordinator of Artistic Programs, supporting nationwide initiatives that uplift young, talented artists. She is now thrilled to be working with Vocal Youth Miami, bringing joy and empowering the youth of Miami through music.
In addition to her nonprofit work, Ariana has built a career as a theatre professional in South Florida. She has worked extensively as a stage manager, with credits including Summer Shorts: Homegrown Edition, Vuelve a Contármelo Todo, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. She has also designed costumes for productions such as Mamma Mia! with the Seminole Theatre Players and Hadestown: Teen Edition at Coral Reef Senior High. Ariana proudly serves as Vice President and Co-Founder of New Wave Drama, a theatre company dedicated to telling stories created by and for the Miami community.
When she is not working, Ariana enjoys spending time on her family’s 2 ½ acre nursery in Homestead, where she lives with her parents, husband, and a lively group of dogs, birds, and fish.
